Illegal immigrant gets loving welcome
Humans may have mixed feelings about immigration, but who could help but be moved by this story of a desperate feline fugitive clinging to a trailer full of fertilizer -- yes, fertilizer! -- to escape the bitter cold, social oppression and cheap prescription drugs just to the north of us in the God-forsaken land of Canada.
Actually I've never been to Canada, but it must be pretty bad. I hear it snows. I hate snow. It sticks to the paws, and with my black fur, I'm easy picking for predators. Mexico, on the other hand, has tasty food, tequila and sunny beaches, yet the humans who live there can't wait to cross the border so they can pump gas in Houston. Go figure.
This is Cruxley, reminding you: If you need a friend, check your local animal shelter. And check your cowdung trailer for cats.

In Canada preditors aren't allowed to eat cats but have to have french fries with gravy and cheese curd on them. Go figure. Either way you are better off moving to a South East Asian country. I hear they love cats out there.
I once had a terrible experience with Canada--all because I can't read/understand Canadian English.
Those rotten Canucks and their cheap prescription drugs! :)
Hey Cruxley!
I saw your comment on Kukka-Maria's blog. Always nice to meet another blogging kitty. Come and visit me some time. (I am a British kitty).
My human pet exclaimed, "I didn't think we got many immigrants from Canada. Perhaps Canadian cats know something Canucks don't."
I quickly reminded her that cats always know when something is headed south before humans do, and she agreed.
That's a heartwarming story indeed! But I hear that Canadian cats qualify for free vet care, so why would they want to leave?
The main reason we don't immigrate to the US is that there are far too many Dawgs packing heat. We see the news from down south.
Not to mention your catnip is way weaker than the catnip grown in Canada. AS for the cold...
You have a fur coat! Get over it!
Yeah! What Magoo, Smudge, Bela and Dolce said! Here in Canada it's wonderful....lots of room to roam and play (outside on a leash, of course). And I love to sit by the window and watch the beautiful snow fall... I'm an American cat adopted by a very nice Canadian family, who named me for my home state (with the additional "h" on the end for coolness...)
